IMAGE: 'Falevai Flava: First Glimpse' by Tui Emma Gillies

We are thrilled to have Tui Emma Gillies and Sulieti Fieme'a Burrows at MOKU for a morning workshop talking about their practice and onward adventures to the Museo de America Madrid, Spain.

The session will take place upstairs in MOKU and during the morning we will learn about NGATU (Tongan barkcloth) and paint our own pieces using Indian Ink.

Please bring some kai for a shared lunch, see you tomorrow morning!

Tui & Sulieti are the 2018 recipients of the Pacific Heritage Art Award from Creative New Zealand and have work in the Royal Academy of Arts as part of the Oceania Exhibition.
